Signature Aviation operates the General Aviation Center, which is MIA’s single FBO. Private arrivals and departures are handled there rather than at the commercial terminals.

Formerly Palm Beach International. The airport took its new name on 9 July 2026, and the IATA code changed from PBI to DJT on 18 August 2026. FBOs are Atlantic Aviation, Jet Aviation Palm Beach, and Signature Aviation’s South and North terminals. NetJets runs an exclusive-use terminal here for its own owners, built over Signature’s FBO.
Much of South Florida’s private traffic never touches a commercial airport. These are the executive fields we run to, and the operators on each one.
If your aircraft is repositioning between two of these fields, one chauffeur can cover both ends of the move. FXE to OPF is roughly 45 minutes without traffic; FXE to DJT is about the same.

Private itineraries move quickly and can change with a tail number, so ground transportation is arranged in advance and kept flight-aware. Share your arrival details and the FBO name when you book, and your chauffeur plans the meet accordingly. We monitor the flight and adjust automatically to early or delayed arrivals, and can run separate vehicles for principals and crew when needed.
A private aircraft does not appear on the arrivals board. There is no flight number to look up and no published gate. What there is, is a tail number — the aircraft registration, usually beginning with N on a US-registered aircraft.
Give us the tail number and we track the aircraft itself. When the schedule moves, and on private aviation it moves far more often than on the airlines, we see it. If the aircraft is running two hours early, the chauffeur repositions. If it diverts from Opa-locka to Fort Lauderdale Executive, we move with it.
We also call the FBO. Tracking tells us where the aircraft is. The FBO desk tells us which door the passenger will actually walk out of, whether customs is involved, and where a vehicle is allowed to wait.
On scheduled airlines, delay is the normal failure mode. Private aviation runs the other way. A light jet with two passengers and no boarding process regularly lands ahead of its filed arrival time. A chauffeur who planned to the filed time arrives to find the passenger already standing in the lobby.
We plan to the tracked time, not the filed one, and we stage early. On arrivals the vehicle is in position before the aircraft is on final. On departures we build in the ground time the FBO actually needs rather than the theoretical minimum, because a passenger who misses a slot on a private aircraft is not rebooked on the next departure — the whole day moves.
Ramp access is controlled by each FBO under its own lease and its own security program. It is not a single airport-wide permission a transportation company satisfies once and carries everywhere. What is permitted at one operator is not automatically permitted at the next.
Our standing practice is to coordinate with the FBO before the trip. We confirm the tail number, the expected arrival, the passenger name on file, and where the FBO wants the vehicle. At the FBOs we run regularly we greet passengers plane-side. Where an operator’s security program requires it we meet at the landside canopy instead, and on international arrivals we meet outside customs once the aircraft has cleared.
If a client, flight department or FBO needs something beyond that for a particular movement, tell us in advance and we will confirm it directly with the FBO rather than assume it.
Flight crews travel on a different clock from passengers, and the crew car is not a reliable answer. Crew cars are shared, limited in number, and gone the moment two aircraft turn at once. A crew that has just flown a long leg and is back on the aircraft in ten hours should not be spending part of that waiting for keys.
We handle crew hotel runs, crew swaps between fields, and repositioning between FLL, FXE, OPF and DJT. Crew work is scheduled against the duty clock rather than the passenger itinerary, and it is quoted the same way as any other transfer.
The right vehicle depends on party size, luggage, and discretion. Solo principals and couples travel in an executive sedan or the Mercedes-Benz S-Class; families and small groups in the Cadillac Escalade; and larger parties or flight crews in an executive Sprinter or mini-coach. Every vehicle includes leather seating, Wi-Fi, bottled water, and phone chargers.
Private-aviation transfers tend to follow a few patterns: an executive arriving by jet for a same-day meeting, a family connecting from an FBO to a resort or cruise port, a flight crew needing a hotel transfer, or a group repositioning between airports. Each is booked in advance with the FBO name so the pickup matches the aircraft’s arrival.
We do not claim ramp privileges we have not been granted. If an FBO has not authorised a vehicle on the ramp for a given trip, we meet at the canopy and we say so when the trip is booked, rather than promising planeside and improvising on the day.
