Doral’s arterials carry container and air-cargo traffic all day. NW 25th Street, NW 36th Street, NW 41st and the north-south avenues from 87th to 114th are working truck roads, not commuter roads. NW 36th Street in particular is the classic trap. It is the shortest route to the airport and frequently the slowest. That’s because it is signalized the entire way and shares every light with tractor-trailers. Depending on the hour we will take the Palmetto south to the Dolphin instead, even though it looks longer on a map.

The resort is also the announced venue for the G20 summit in mid-December 2026. If that goes ahead as planned, expect hard road closures around NW 87th Avenue. Also expect closures on the 36th to 41st Street corridor, a credentialed perimeter and no commercial vehicle access inside it. We will not promise you access we cannot deliver. Baptist Health Hospital Doral on NW 58th Street opened in 2021. It is a small facility: two stories, a modest number of inpatient beds, an emergency department, imaging and surgery. That is worth knowing before you plan around it. Major surgical, maternity and trauma care is at hospitals in other municipalities, and we run those transfers regularly.
