Manalapan is in two disconnected pieces, and they are connected only by water. That is not a curiosity. It is the fact most likely to send a car to the wrong side of town. One half is the A1A barrier-island strip running between Lantana Public Beach and the inlet. The other is Point Manalapan, the southern third of Hypoluxo Island, which the Town shares with Lantana. There is no direct road between them.
So a Manalapan booking is ambiguous until we know which half. We ask. Rodlymo is veteran-owned, and in a town of roughly four hundred residents the work is relationship-based rather than transactional.

Manalapan has no bridge of its own. The two mainland exits are bascule bridges. One is East Ocean Avenue at Lantana to the north. The other is Ocean Avenue at Boynton Beach to the south. Both open on the hour and half-hour. There is no offset and no fixed-span alternative. If both are down, you wait. Every airport departure from here is built with a full bridge cycle of buffer.
The Town’s own material describes the resort as about eight miles from the airport. That is accurate but misleading on its own. Eight miles takes twenty to twenty-five minutes, and more in season. This is because the route runs from A1A to a bascule bridge to surface streets to the interstate. DJT wins from Manalapan outright. Fort Lauderdale is nearly thirty miles further and half an hour longer. No traffic condition closes that gap.
The town’s one hotel is Eau Resort and Spa at 100 South Ocean Boulevard. It has three hundred and nine rooms on a seven-acre oceanfront site with a private beach. Rooms were designed by Jonathan Adler, and the spa has been refreshed under current ownership.
Note the name. It dropped ‘Palm Beach’ from its title in July 2026 and is now simply Eau Resort and Spa. Third-party listings, including the shopping plaza across the road, are still catching up, and will be for months. We use the current name and we know which property people mean either way.
Nobu Manalapan opened at the resort in late 2024 and now seats a hundred and forty. It is the one business in this town that generates genuine inbound traffic. Diners travel in from Palm Beach, Delray and Boca for a reservation.
That is an evening, round-trip, non-resident stream that nothing else here produces. It runs straight into the bridge problem, though. A nine o’clock reservation and a bascule on the half hour do not care about each other. We plan the return before we plan the arrival.
A1A through Manalapan is two lanes with no shoulder, no public parking and no commercial frontage beyond a single plaza. We do not wait on A1A — we hold at an agreed point and come to the door on a call.
Several estates span A1A with private tunnels beneath the state road. Tunnel work is now barred from November to mid-April without commission approval, and approved work needs a traffic plan and an off-duty officer — A1A can drop to single-lane, officer-directed flow with no detour.
Across A1A from the resort sits Plaza del Mar, about eighty-four thousand square feet, anchored by a Publix, with a handful of boutiques, a salon and a bank. There is no downtown and no second commercial district in this town.
There is no hospital, no school, and no marina open to the public in Manalapan. Also missing are a cultural venue and public transit. Baptist Health Bethesda Hospital East is about four miles south in Boynton Beach. Delray Medical Center, the Level I trauma centre, is around nine miles. Public beach access nearby is at Lantana to the north and the county’s Ocean Inlet Park to the south.
Every one of those is a bridge crossing. That is the recurring theme of this page because it is the recurring theme of the town.

Four hundred residents live on less than half a square mile of land. Founded by a Vanderbilt, the town has since been home to people whose names you would recognise. The operating requirements follow: a known driver, an unmarked vehicle, and nothing said afterwards. Then there is a willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement for a household account. Anyone who makes discretion their whole pitch is telling you they have not been trusted with much of it.
This is a market where a concierge desk and a handful of estate managers control nearly all of the work. You are probably reading this because somebody gave you our name rather than because you searched for us.
DJT is about eight miles and twenty to twenty-five minutes with a bridge cycle built in; Fort Lauderdale is nearly thirty miles further and never the better choice from here.

We will ask when you book, because it changes the entire route. Addresses on South Ocean Boulevard are the A1A barrier-island strip; Point Manalapan is on Hypoluxo Island, reached through Lantana. There is no road between the two. So getting it wrong costs at least ten minutes and possibly a bridge cycle.
