Amerant Bank Arena charges double parking for any vehicle that occupies two spaces. On a Panthers night, where gate parking runs forty to fifty dollars, that puts a stretch limousine at eighty to a hundred before anyone has stepped inside.
Almost nobody publishes that. It is in the arena’s own parking policy, and it is the reason we will usually recommend an Escalade over a stretch for this building. A single-space vehicle pays the single-space rate.
Rodlymo is veteran-owned, based in Miramar, about twenty-five minutes south of the arena. Sunrise is home ground for us, and the honest advice here is worth more than the upsell.

The Double-Parking Rule, and What We Do About It
The policy is straightforward: limousines and vehicles occupying two spaces pay twice the general parking cost for that event. It applies regardless of how long you stay.
There are two sensible responses. Take a single-space vehicle, which for a party of up to five is the Escalade and costs you nothing extra. Or take the Sprinter for a larger group and accept the surcharge as the price of moving up to thirteen people in one vehicle, which is usually still the cheaper arithmetic. What we will not do is quote you a stretch for a hockey game without mentioning it.
Where the Gates Actually Are
The arena runs a numbered gate system and it rewards knowing which one you want. On-demand pickups enter at Gate 3, drop at the North Pedestrian Walkway entrance, and exit at Gate 2, with post-event pickup at the north end of that walkway. Valet is reached through Gates 1, 2 or 5. Buses use Gate 1 or 7 and park in Lot D2. Accessible parking is at Gates 1, 2 and 5 on the north side and Gates 1 and 7 on the south.
Lots A and D are general, B and C are club, and there is a separate executive lot and garage for premium ticket holders. Prepaying through the ticketing app is consistently cheaper than paying at the gate.
Sunrise Is a Drive From Almost Everywhere
The arena sits at the western edge of Broward, at Sawgrass Mills, well away from the coastal cities where most of our clients live. From Fort Lauderdale beach, Hollywood, Aventura or Boca Raton this is a proper drive rather than a hop.
Sawgrass Expressway and I-75 do the work, and both back up before a full house. We set pickup times from the event and the direction of travel rather than from a map estimate, which on a sold-out Saturday is the difference between the anthem and the second period.
The Panthers Are Not Defending Champions
Worth saying because a great deal of stale content still gets it wrong. Florida won the Stanley Cup in 2024 and 2025 and then missed the 2026 playoffs entirely. Carolina won the 2026 Cup. There is no banner night this October.
What there is, is a full seventeen-date home schedule between October and December and a team with something to prove, which historically fills a building rather better than complacency does.
The Home Schedule Through December
Preseason brings Carolina on 20 September and Tampa Bay on 26 September. The regular season opens at home on 10 October against Minnesota at six o’clock, followed by Vancouver on the 15th and Seattle on the 17th.
November runs Detroit on the 2nd, Chicago on the 4th, Detroit again on the 12th, Edmonton on the 17th, Buffalo on the 21st, Ottawa on the 25th and Tampa Bay on the 28th. December brings Boston on the 8th, Pittsburgh on the 10th, Calgary on the 19th as a one o’clock matinee, St. Louis on the 21st, Tampa Bay again on the 26th, Nashville on the 28th and Buffalo on the 30th.
The Tampa Bay dates and the Boston and Edmonton visits are the ones that sell hardest. The 19 December matinee is the odd one out and catches people who assume an evening start.
The Concerts That Will Fill It
Olivia Rodrigo plays two nights on 19 and 20 November, and Rod Wave plays two nights on 14 and 15 November. Those four dates are the peak demand of the autumn in this building and they should be booked well ahead.
Around them: Lil Baby and Kodak Black on 5 September, Disney On Ice from 10 to 13 September, Weezer on 13 October, Journey on 16 October, Teddy Swims on 23 October.
Disney On Ice Is Seven Shows, Not Four
The September run is four days but seven separate performances: single evening shows on the Thursday and Friday, three on the Saturday at eleven, three and seven, and two on the Sunday at noon and four.
That matters if you are booking. Saturday is three complete arrival-and-departure cycles at the same building, and the eleven o’clock show empties straight into the three o’clock crowd. For a family with small children, being collected at the door rather than walking to a distant lot is most of the value.
The Family Job Is a Real Job
A hockey game with teenagers and a Disney On Ice matinee with a four-year-old are different pieces of work. The second one involves a car seat, a stroller, an early exit and a driver who does not mind waiting while a coat is found.
We do those, and we would rather be described accurately than sold as something glossier. Car seats are available on request and need to be asked for at booking, not on the day.
Getting Out Afterwards
Nineteen thousand people leave a sold-out arena into a road network built around a shopping mall. The northern exits and the walkway pickup point clear at their own pace and no amount of confidence changes that.
What a retained car does is remove the queue from the equation: the vehicle is already where it needs to be, your driver knows which exit is moving, and nobody is standing outside comparing prices.
The Two Vehicles We Send to Sunrise

This is the venue where the vehicle choice has a price attached. The Escalade occupies one space and pays the standard parking rate. The Sprinter occupies two and pays double, which is worth it above about six passengers and not worth it below. We will tell you which side of that line you are on before you book.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do limousines really pay double to park?
Yes. The arena’s policy charges double the general parking rate for limousines and any vehicle occupying two spaces. On a hockey night that is roughly eighty to a hundred dollars. A single-space Escalade pays the standard rate, which is why we usually suggest one.
Where will you drop us off?
At the entrance rather than the far side of a lot. On-demand pickup uses Gate 3 in and Gate 2 out with pickup at the north end of the North Pedestrian Walkway; valet runs through Gates 1, 2 and 5. We confirm the specific arrangement for your event when you book.
Are the Panthers still the defending champions?
No. Florida won in 2024 and 2025 and then missed the 2026 playoffs. Carolina won the 2026 Cup. We mention it because a lot of transportation pages still say otherwise, which tells you how recently they were written.
Can you do a Disney On Ice matinee with young children?
Yes. The September run is seven performances over four days, with three on the Saturday alone. We carry car seats on request if you tell us at booking, we collect at the door, and we do not rush anybody.
How long does it take to get there?
Longer than the map suggests on an event night. The arena is at the western edge of Broward by Sawgrass Mills, and both the Sawgrass Expressway and I-75 back up before a full house. We build the pickup time around the event, not the distance.
Can you take a large group?
Yes, an executive Sprinter carries the party in one vehicle. It will attract the double-space parking rate, but for a group of eight or ten that is still cheaper and considerably simpler than two cars arriving separately.
