Opa-locka is the default for private traffic in north Miami-Dade, and for many trips it is the better field. MIA earns its place in three situations.
- You are connecting to a commercial flight. Arriving private and departing on an airline, or the reverse, only works cleanly at MIA.
- Your destination is central or south. Brickell, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove and Key Biscayne are closer to MIA than to Opa-locka, and the drive avoids crossing the county.
- You are arriving from abroad. MIA is a full international gateway, and for some itineraries clearing here is simply the plan.

MIA is one of the busiest airports in the country for international passengers and freight, and the private terminal sits inside all of that. The ramp side is calm. The roads around the airport are not.
What that means practically is that we build MIA pickups with the perimeter roads in mind rather than the flight time alone. LeJeune Road and the 836 do not care that you arrived on a private aircraft.

Crew runs off MIA usually mean airport-area hotels or a repositioning drive to Opa-locka or Fort Lauderdale Executive. Crew is scheduled against the duty clock rather than the passenger itinerary, and we quote it separately.
The Vehicles
