Five Operators, and Most of the Field Is Training
TMB has four: Signature Aviation, International Flight Center, Air Sal at International Flight Center North, and Reliance Aviation. Signature handles most of the jet traffic.
What makes this field different from Opa-locka is what surrounds that traffic. TMB carries a lot of flight training alongside its business aviation, so the pattern is busier with light aircraft than the jet movements alone would suggest. It does not change your arrival, but it is the character of the airport.
Tell us the operator when you book. Four facilities, four separate entrances, and a car sent to the wrong one is a drive around the perimeter.
The Runways Set the Aircraft
The longest runway here is 6,000 feet, with a 5,003-foot parallel and a 4,001-foot crosswind. That is a light and midsize jet field. Heavy-cabin aircraft go to Opa-locka.
For ground transportation it means party sizes are usually four to eight with moderate luggage. An Escalade covers most arrivals. We still ask, because four passengers with a week of luggage fill a vehicle faster than the headcount suggests.
The South County Is the Whole Point
Every executive field serves a catchment, and TMB serves the one the others cannot reach without crossing the county.

From Opa-locka, any of these is a run across the whole of Miami-Dade in traffic. From TMB it is a short drive on local roads. If your destination is south of the Trail, this is the field to fly into, and we will say so when you ask.
Driving South From TMB
If your trip continues south, out through Homestead and Florida City or down US-1, TMB puts you on the right side of the county to start.
That drive is its own operation. US-1 south does not offer alternatives, and weekend and holiday traffic through Florida City is the constraint rather than the airport. We plan those runs around the road rather than the wheels-down time, and we will say honestly when a later departure gets you there sooner.
Where We Meet You
On a domestic arrival we greet you plane-side. The chauffeur is on the field before the aircraft is down and the vehicle is staged, so you step off and into the car.
International arrivals clear customs first, and not every executive field clears on site. We confirm with your operator where clearance happens for your particular arrival and meet you outside customs, rather than assuming it works the same way here as it does at Banyan or Opa-locka.
