Customs Sits on the Field Until Midnight
Banyan clears customs on site, seven days a week, from eight in the morning until midnight, with after-hours clearance available on request.
That is the detail worth planning around. An international arrival into Banyan does not route you through a commercial federal inspection hall with a queue in front of it. You clear on the field, and we meet you outside customs once you are through.
It also means a late international arrival is workable here in a way it is not everywhere. If your aircraft is landing at half past eleven at night, tell us, and we will confirm the clearance window with the FBO before the day rather than discover it on the night.
Four Terminals, and Banyan Is the Big One
The four terminals are Banyan Air Service, Signature Aviation at the Fort Lauderdale Executive Jet Center, Atlantic Aviation and W Aviation. They are separate facilities with separate entrances.
Banyan is the largest presence on the field and runs a full maintenance operation alongside the FBO, so aircraft sit there for reasons other than a quick turn. If your aircraft is based or in for work at Banyan and you are arriving by car to depart, that is a different movement from an arrival pickup, and we quote it as one.
Tell us the terminal when you book. A car sent to the wrong one is a drive around the field, not a walk across a hall.
A Six-Thousand-Foot Runway Sets the Aircraft Mix
FXE main runway is 6,002 feet, with a 4,000-foot crosswind runway alongside it. That is a working general-aviation field rather than a heavy-jet airport, and it shows up in what parks there: light and midsize jets, turboprops, and a large based fleet.
For ground transportation that matters in one practical way. Party sizes off these aircraft are usually smaller than off a heavy-cabin jet, and the luggage is lighter. An Escalade covers most FXE arrivals comfortably. We still ask, because a golf trip out of a midsize jet fills a vehicle faster than four passengers suggest.
Where We Meet You
On a domestic arrival we greet you plane-side. The chauffeur is on the field before the aircraft is down and the vehicle is staged, so you step off and into the car.
On an international arrival you clear customs at Banyan first, so we meet you outside customs rather than on the ramp.

There is no flight number to look up and no arrivals board to refresh. Send the registration when you book and the timing takes care of itself. Aircraft into FXE run early more often than late, and the car moves up with them.

Opa-locka serves the north Miami-Dade coast. FXE serves Broward, and the destination mix is completely different.

Boat Show Week Is Its Own Operation
The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show runs 28 October to 1 November 2026, and it is the busiest private-aviation week of the Broward year. FXE fills, Banyan fills, and the roads around Port Everglades and 17th Street do too.
Book that week early. Not because of pricing, but because the vehicles and the chauffeurs who know the show traffic get committed well in advance, and a car booked the day before is a car working against a closed road it did not plan for.
Crew Movements Are Their Own Booking
FXE has a large based fleet, which means steady crew work rather than occasional crew work: hotel runs, crew swaps, and repositioning between FXE, OPF and Palm Beach.
Crew is scheduled against the duty clock, not the passenger itinerary. We quote and schedule it separately, and if you are placing both the passenger transfer and the crew rotation, say so and we will keep them as two clean movements.
The Vehicles
The Escalade handles most FXE arrivals. The executive Sprinter is the one for crew moves, for yacht guests arriving together, and for the luggage that comes with people joining a vessel for a week. For larger movements we also run a 24-passenger mini coach.
