Five Operators Share One Field
OPF is not a single terminal with a single door. Atlantic Aviation, Embassair, Jet Aviation, Fontainebleau Aviation and Signature Aviation each run their own facility on the airport, with their own ramp, their own lobby and their own entrance.
That matters more than it sounds. Pick me up at Opa-locka is not an address. A car sent to the wrong operator is on the far side of an active airfield, and the fix is a drive around the perimeter rather than a walk across a concourse.
So the first thing we confirm on any OPF booking is the terminal. Whichever one is handling your aircraft is where we go, and nowhere else.
North of the City Changes the Route
Most people book Miami ground transportation with MIA in their head. OPF sits in a different part of the county and the driving works out differently.
For Aventura, Bal Harbour, Sunny Isles, Golden Beach and north Miami Beach, OPF is the closer field. For Brickell and downtown it is comparable. For Coral Gables and the south end of the county it is not, and we will say so rather than pretend otherwise.
Hard Rock Stadium is close enough that a game-day arrival into OPF is one of the shortest runs we do.
We Track the Tail Number, Not a Flight Number
A private aircraft has no flight number to look up and no arrivals board to refresh. What it has is a registration, and that is what we track.
Send us the tail number when you book and the arrival time takes care of itself. If the aircraft leaves early, we know before you do. If it goes into a hold or diverts, we know that too, and the car moves with it rather than sitting on a meter.
This is the single most useful thing you can give us on an OPF booking. Everything else on the quote is logistics. The tail number is what makes the timing real.
Private Aircraft Arrive Early More Often Than Late
Commercial travel trains people to expect delay. Private aviation runs the other way. An aircraft with a favourable wind and no slot to hold for lands ahead of schedule more often than it lands behind, sometimes by twenty or thirty minutes.

International arrivals work differently, because the aircraft has to clear customs. On those we meet you outside customs rather than on the ramp.
Either way you are not standing anywhere waiting for a car that is still driving in.
Departures Out of OPF
Departing is the easier direction, and the timing is set by your crew rather than by a security queue.

The Vehicles for a Private Arrival
The aircraft sets the party size and the luggage, so the vehicle follows the aircraft.
The Cadillac Escalade is the default for one to four passengers with normal luggage, with real space behind the third row. The executive Mercedes-Benz Sprinter takes larger parties, groups who want to stay together, and the luggage loads that come off a heavy-cabin aircraft.
Where the group and the bags do not sensibly fit in one vehicle, two Escalades moving together is often better than one crowded van, and we will say so. For larger movements we also run a 24-passenger mini coach.
